Tomb C is a Roman mausoleum facing the Wadi Ain Hofra and enclosed within a necropolis that includes other monuments. Around the 3rd century AD, the area underwent a massive monumentalization process to establish it as a large burial complex. The restoration design, which is part of a general project to recover and improve the whole area, provides for transforming the tomb into a museum suitable for housing the pairs of statues and the sarcophagi found during the excavation phases.
